EFPA

EFPA is incorporated under the Netherlands Not-for-Profit Stichting Law.

EFPA Governance

The policies, procedures and regulations by which EFPA is governed are embodied in two documents. The EFPA Articles of Association, which can be approved and amended only by the voting members of the EFPA Board of Directors, contains EFPA's fundamental objectives, organization and procedures. Implementation of the Constitutional provisions, in specific organizational structures and procedures, is also covered in these Articles of Association. The Second document, the National Affiliation Agreement, is unpublished as it governs the relationships between EFPA and its several Affiliates; the Affiliation Agreements’ purpose are to provide more detailed statements of policies, objectives and procedures than are appropriate for inclusion in the Articles of Association since they govern specific and contextual behaviours. Policy statements affecting these Articles of Association are approved and amended by the EFPA Board of Directors.

The precedence of these two documents should be remembered by all those engaged in EFPA management duties. The Affiliation Agreement may not be in conflict with the Articles of Association. If, having consulted the Articles of Association, questions of procedure or interpretation remain: inquiries addressed to the Chief Executive Officer at EFPA Headquarters, or to members of his staff (info@efpa-europe.org), will receive prompt attention.
